| Chlortetracycline belongs to the group of tetracycline and acts bacteriostatic against many G(+)(-) like
Bordetella, Pasteurella, E.coli, Mycoplasma, Salmonella, Staphylococci spp. The action of CTC is based on inhibition of bacterial protein synthesis.
Generally, if bacteria is susceptible to natural penicillin, penicillin procaine G is preferred to treat that infection as long as adequate penetration
of the drug to site of the infection occurs and the patient is not hypersensitive to penicillins. Sulfathiazole blocks the use of PABA,
which is essential for the multiplication of the germ. This effects on the synthesis of hydrofolic acid and then stops the growth of bacteria.

- For the prevention and treatment of various respiratory disease included in atrophic rhinitis (AR),
pneumonia (caused by Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae, Actinobacillus Pleuropneumoniae, Pasteurella) and bacterial enteritis
- For the treatment of bacterial enteritis
- For the improvement of feed efficiency and growth promotion
